 In the case where the form of the IOPP Certificate or its Supplement is amended, and this amendment does not cause a shortening of the validity of the ship’s IOPP Certificate, the existing form of the certificate or supplement which is current when the amendment enters into force may remain valid until the expiry of that certificate, provided that, at the first survey after the date of entry into force of the amendment, necessary changes are indicated in the existing certificate or supplement by means of suitable corrections, e.g. striking over the invalid entry and typing the new entry.
