4.9 Fire-protected lifeboats

  4.9.1 In addition to complying with the requirements of section 4.8, a flre-protected lifeboat when waterborne shall be capable of protecting the number of persons it is permitted to accommodate when subjected to a continuous oil fire that envelopes the lifeboat for a period of not less than 8 min.
