Clarification of SOLAS Regulations IV/6.1, IV/6.2.2 and IV/10.1.1.3

The Sub-Committee on Radiocommunications (COM 38/27, paragraphs 3.2.1 and 3.2.3 at its thirty-eighth session agreed the clarifications of SOLAS regulations IV/6.1, IV/6.2.2 and IV/10.1.1.3 attached, and pending consideration of the proposed clarifications by the Committee, instructed the Secretariat to bring them to the attention of the Member Governments as advance information.

Member Governments are advised that equipment which already been approverd by an Administration should not be required to be replaced because of these clarifications.
