1.8 Special cargo transport units

 The shipowner and the ship operator should, where necessary, make use of relevant expertise when considering the shipment of a cargo with unusual characteristics which may require special attention to be given to its location on board vis-á-vis the structural strength of the ship, Its stowage and securing, and the weather conditions which may be expected during the intended voyage.
