2.1 Pure gases (including zero check gases)

  2.1.1 The required purity of the gases is defined by the contamination limits given below. The following gases shall be available:

  • .1 purified nitrogen (contamination ≤ 1 ppmC, ≤ 1 ppm CO, ≤ 400 ppm CO2, ≤ 0,1 ppm NO);

  • .2 purified oxygen (purity > 99.5% volume O2);

  • .3 hydrogen-helium mixture (40 ± 2% hydrogen, balance helium), (contamination ≤ 1 ppmC, ≤ 400 ppm CO2); and

  • .4 purified synthetic air (contamination ≤ 1 ppmC, ≤ 1 ppm CO, ≤ 400 ppm CO2, ≤ 0.1 ppm NO (oxygen content 18% – 21% volume).
