ISO 12215-5 should be used with caution where the vessels’ hull or superstructure is fabricated of fibre reinforced plastic, or where the vessel is subject to impact loading from contact with fixed structures such as offshore wind farm turbine towers, or the vessel is a multihull, until such time that it is updated with respect to commercial vessels.
