3.2.1 Each assembly station should be identified
by the “muster station" symbol. Separate assembly stations should
be identified by a letter or number the size of which should be compatible
with the size of the assembly station symbol. If embarkation stations
are used as assembly stations, there is no need to differentiated
between assembly stations and embarkation stations. However, if assembly
stations are not at embarkation stations, the use of letters is recommended
for identification of assembly stations to prevent confusion with
numbered embarkation stations.
3.2.2 Assembly station signs and embarkation station
signs should be of such size and so located at assembly stations and
embarkation stations respectively, that they are readily apparent
to passengers and that the assembly and embarkation stations themselves
are also clearly identifiable.
3.2.3 The embarkation station should be identified
by the embarkation station symbol and a number the size of which should
be compatible with the size of the embarkation station symbol.
