(1) Within the accommodation and service spaces,
all bulkheads required to be "B" class divisions shall extend from
deck to deck and to the shell or other boundaries, unless continuous
"B" class ceilings or linings, or both, are fitted on both sides of
the bulkheads in which case the bulkhead may terminate at the continuous
ceiling or lining.
(2)
Method IF. All bulkheads not
required by this or other regulations of this part to be "A" or "B"
class divisions shall be at least "C" class divisions.
(3)
Method IIF. There shall be no
restriction on the construction of bulkheads not required by this
or other regulations of this part to be "A" or "B" class divisions
except in individual cases where "C" class bulkheads are required
in accordance with table 1 in
regulation 7.
(4)
Method IIIF. There shall be no
restriction on the construction of bulkheads not required by this
or other regulations of this part to be "A" or "B" class divisions.
In no case shall the area of any accommodation space or spaces bounded
by a continuous "A" or "B" class division exceed 50 m2,
except in individual cases where "C" class bulkheads are required
in accordance with table 1 in
regulation 7. However, the Administration may increase this area for
public spaces.
