3.1 Lifebuoys

Installation tests

 The arrangements for quick release of the lifebuoys fitted with self-activated smoke signals and lights on the ship's navigating bridge should be, using a dummy smoke signal, if necessary to demonstrate that the lifebuoys and their attachments will drop clear of the ship's side when released.
