The hydrocarbon analyser shall be of the heated flame ionization detector
(HFID) type with detector, valves, pipe-work and associated components heated so as to
maintain a gas temperature of 190oC ± 10oC. Optionally, for
gas-fuelled engines (without liquid pilot injection), the hydrocarbon analyser may be of
the non-heated flame ionization detector (FID) type.
