Section 2 Performance requirements

2.1 Performance requirements

2.1.1 Spaces which are identified as potentially containing flammable, poisonous, toxic/corrosive, asphyxiant or irritant gases shall be fitted with a gas detection system.

2.1.2 Gas detection systems shall not introduce additional hazards.

2.1.3 Suitable indication of the nature of the potential hazards shall be provided at the entrance(s) to the space, and on the equipment where applicable.
