The laboratory should verify the conformity of the test
specimen with the drawings and method of assembly provided by the
applicant (see section 2), and
any area of discrepancy should be resolved prior to commencement of
the test.
On occasion it may not be possible to verify the conformity
of all aspects of the specimen construction prior to the test and
adequate evidence may not be available after test. When it is necessary
to rely on information provided by the applicant then this should
be clearly stated in the test report. The laboratory should nevertheless
ensure that it fully appreciates the design of the test specimen and
should be confident that it is able to accurately record the constructional
details in the test report.
