28.7 Accident Investigation Reporting Regulations
Under “The Merchant Shipping (Accident Reporting and Investigation) Regulations” 2005, SI No. 881, it is a requirement to report accidents and hazardous events to the Department for Transport's Marine Accident Investigation Branch. Guidance is available in MGN 289 "Accident Reporting and Investigation".
