1 The Maritime Safety Committee, at its eighty-fourth session (7 to 16 May 2008), approved amendments to the Revised Emergency Response Procedures for Ships Carrying Dangerous Goods (EmS Guide) (MSC/Circ.1025, as amended by MSC.1/Circ.1025/Add.1), set out in the annex.

  2 Member Governments are invited to bring the annexed amendments to the Revised EmS Guide to the attention of all concerned noting that amendment 34-08 (resolution MSC.262(84)) is expected to enter into force on 1 January 2010; however, its provisions may be applied on a voluntary basis from 1 January 2009, as agreed to by MSC 75.
