5 Computer Programs

5.1 Use of computer programs

5.1.1 Any finite element computation program complying with Ch 1, Sec 3 may be employed to determine the stress and deflection of the hull structure, provided that the combined effects of bending, shear, axial and torsional deformations are considered.
