7.16 Fixed sprinkler system

  7.16.1 Crew accommodation where sleeping berths are provided, having a total deck area greater than 50 m 2 (including corridors serving such accommodation), shall be protected by a fixed sprinkler system based on the standards developed by the Organization.footnote

  7.16.2 Plans of the system shall be displayed at each operating station. Suitable arrangements shall be made for the drainage of water discharged when the system is activated.
