21A.6 Lighting

  21A.6.1 An electric lighting system should be installed which is capable of supplying adequate light to all enclosed accommodation and working spaces. The system should be designed and installed in accordance with section 8.

  21A.6.2 Seafarer’s sleeping rooms and mess rooms should be lit by natural light and provided with adequate artificial light. Where the provision of natural light is impracticable, adequate artificial light may be acceptable in limited areas.
