21B.8.1 General

  The sleeping accommodation should meet 21B.8.2 (the requirements for sleeping accommodation of the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 for vessels less than 3000GT). Where this is not practicable the sleeping accommodation should meet the substantially equivalent requirements of 21B.8.3 for vessels of 200GT and over and less than 500GT, and 21B.8.4 for vessels of 500GT and over and less than 1250GT. Vessels of 3000 GT and more should comply with the requirements of 21B.8.5.

  21B.8.1.2 Sleeping accommodation should be of adequate size and properly equipped so as to ensure reasonable comfort and to facilitate tidiness.
