7 Legacy Services

  7.1 All satellite-based systems and services for the GMDSS which were already approved and in usefootnote before the entry into force of this resolution are exempt from the requirements of paragraphs 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. These systems are:

  • .1 Inmarsat-A (due to be withdrawn 31 December 2007)

  • .2 Inmarsat-B

  • .3 Inmarsat-C

  • .4 The International SafetyNET Service

  7.2 The services defined in paragraph 7.1 are subject to the requirements of paragraph 2.4.
