18.1.1 Information should
be on board and available to all concerned, giving the necessary data
for the safe carriage of cargo. Such information should include for
each product carried:

.1 a full description of the physical and chemical
properties necessary for the safe containment of the cargo;
-
.2 action to be taken in the event of spills or
leaks;
-
.3 counter-measures against accidental personal
contact;
-
.4 fire-fighting procedures and fire-fighting
media;
-
.5 procedures for cargo transfer, gas-freeing,
ballasting, tank cleaning and changing cargoes;
-
.6 special equipment needed for the safe handling of
the particular cargo;
-
.7 minimum allowable inner hull steel temperatures;
and
-
.8 emergency procedures.
18.1.2 Products required
to be inhibited should be refused if the certificate required by 17.8 is not supplied.
18.1.3 A copy of this Code
or national regulations incorporating the provisions of this Code
should be on board every ship covered by this Code.
