The Marine Environment Protection Committee,

  1 A communication dated 29 January 2004 has been received from the Spanish Embassy in London informing the Organization that, in accordance with operative paragraphs 1 and 3 of resolution MEPC.114(50) of 4 December 2003, Spain is now applying the provisions of revised regulation 13G and new regulation 13H of Annex I to MARPOL 73/78 as adopted by resolution MEPC.111(50) of 4 December 2003.
