2.8.1 The diving system and breathing gas facilities
should be arranged in spaces or locations which are adequately ventilated
and provided with suitable electric lighting.
2.8.2 When any part of the diving system is sited
on deck, particular consideration should be given to providing reasonable
protection from the sea, icing or any damage which may result from
other activities on board the ship or floating structure.
2.8.3 Provision should be made to ensure that
the diving system and auxiliary equipment are securely fastened to
the ship or floating structure and that adjacent equipment is similarly
secured. Consideration should be given to the relative movement between
the components of the system. In addition, the fastening arrangements
should be able to meet any required survival conditions of the ship
or floating structure.
