3 Class of Emission, Frequency Bands and Channels

  3.1 The equipment may be designated for operation on one or more channels selected from and in accordance with appendix 18 of the Radio Regulations.

  3.2 The radiotelephone facility should be capable of operating as follows:

  • .1 in the band 156.3 MHz to 156.875 MHz on single-frequency channels as specified in appendix 18 of the Radio Regulations; and

  • .2 in the band 156.025 MHz to 157.425 MHz for transmitting and the band 160.625 MHz to 162.025 MHz for receiving on two-frequency channels as specified in appendix 18 of the Radio Regulations.

  3.3 The digital selective calling facility should be capable of operating on channel 70.

  3.4 Class of emission should comply with appendix 19 of the Radio Regulations.
