Protein-based alcohol-resistant foam concentrates should
be required to demonstrate manufacturing consistency through an annual
small-scale test at a recognized test laboratory. The reference test
should be performed at the same time and at the same recognized laboratory
as the full-scale test defined in subsection 3.9.
The concentrate should be tested according to standards ISO
7203-3 Annex C, EN 1568-4 Annex I, SP Method 2580 or another standard
acceptable to the Administration. The reference test and annual test
should be carried out to the same standard.
The concentrate
is deemed to fail the test if the results from the annual small scale
test indicate significant changes in the foam quality compared to
the reference test.
