5.2.1 Gas tanks should be monitored and protected
against overfilling as required in the IGC Code, sections 13.2 and 13.3.
5.2.2 Each tank should be monitored with at least
one local indicating instrument for pressure and remote pressure indication
at the control position. The pressure indicators should be clearly
marked with the highest and lowest pressure permitted in the tank.
In addition, high-pressure alarm, and if vacuum protection is required,
low pressure alarm should be provided on the bridge. The alarms should
be activated before the set pressures of the safety valves are reached.
