21A.18 Master’s Inspections

  21A.18.1 There should be weekly documented inspections carried out on board vessels, by or under the authority of the Master, with respect to:

  • .1 supplies of food and drinking water;

  • .2 all spaces and equipment used for the storage and handling of food and drinking water;

  • .3 galley and other equipment used for the preparation and service of meals; and

  • .4 that seafarer accommodation is clean, decently habitable and maintained in a good state of repair.

  21A.18.2 The results of each inspection should be recorded and made available for review.
