Circular

 1 The Marine Environment Protection Committee, at its seventy-eighth session, approved the Guidance for submission of data to the IMO Data Collection System of fuel oil consumption of ships from a State not Party to MARPOL Annex VI, as set out in the annex.

 2 Non-Parties to MARPOL Annex VI are encouraged to submit data to the IMO Ship Fuel Oil Consumption Database and are invited to bring the Guidance set out in the annex to the attention of all entities concerned.

 3 This circular revokes MEPC.1/Circ.871.
