Release Notes
Rulefinder 9.38 Contents and
validity
Rulefinder 9.38 includes valid requirements as at 1st January
2023 which were available at the time of release.
This release consists of several new, updated and consolidated Lloyd’s

Rulefinder also contains updated and consolidated International Maritime
Organization (IMO) documents. New documents included for Rulefinder 9.38 are:
- Resolutions from the 105th session of the Maritime Safety Committee
- Resolutions from the 78th session of the Marine
Environment Protection Committee
- MSC, MEPC, MSC-MEPC, MSC-FAL, BWM and SN Circulars that have been
released since Rulefinder version 9.37
- Various other IMO documents that have been included on user request
Consolidation of documents
A number of IMO resolutions and conference documents update existing IMO
conventions, resolutions and guidelines. These updates have been consolidated into
the respective documents and removed wherever required to ensure that Rulefinder
only represents the most up-to-date version of current IMO requirements.
When a document is removed for this purpose a note has been inserted
providing details of the update.
IMO Documents that have been superseded, revoked or replaced have also
been either removed from Rulefinder or note added next to the title stating that the
document has need consolidated.
Future Releases
Future releases will include additional documents. Please let us know if
you would like to see additional documents included. If there is sufficient demand
for documents to be added then we will incorporate them in a future release.
