Note: For VHF the Sea Area A1 relates to the location of the Coast Guard antenna and the height of the antenna on the vessel. MGN 22footnote also refers. VHF Range will be reduced from those shown in pink above when the height of the antenna above sea level reduces below 4m. In these cases refer to the Admiralty List of Radio Signals Volume 5 for Range Calculations, see the section on Management of VHF. This is further described in the first footnote to Table 16.7.1.
