Paragraph 4 – Firefighting appliances and rescue equipment

The following new paragraph 4.5 is added after existing paragraph 4.4, and the remaining paragraphs renumbered accordingly:

  • ".5 in lieu of the provisions of paragraphs 4.3 and 4.4, on ships constructed on or after 1 January 2020, foam firefighting appliances complying with the provisions of the International Code for Fire Safety Systems (FSS Code)."
