The Office of the Permanent Representative of the Bolivarian
Republic of Venezuela presents its compliments to the Secretariat
of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and takes this opportunity
to enclose, in compliance with paragraph 1.5.2.1 of the International
Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes Code (IMSBC Code),
for information and appropriate action, an exemption granted by the
National Institute of Aquatic Spaces, in its capacity as national
maritime authority, to the company Orinoco Iron S.C.S., authorizing
it for bulk carriage by sea of "Direct reduced iron (C) (By-product
fines" (DRI (C)) whose moisture content is over 0.3% and does not
exceed 12%.
The Office of the Permanent Representative of the Bolivarian
Republic of Venezuela takes this opportunity to renew to the IMO Secretariat
the assurances of its highest esteem.
