Section 6 Electrical installation

6.1 General

6.1.1 In addition to the requirements of Pt 6, Ch 2 Electrical Engineering, the following requirements are to be complied with:

  1. The electrical power for the CA plant is to be provided from a separate feeder circuit from the main switchboard.

  2. Under sea-going conditions, the number and rating of service generators are to be sufficient to supply the cargo refrigeration machinery and CA equipment in addition to the ship's essential services, when any one generating set is out of action.
