Section 7 Inspection and testing

7.1 Overview

7.1.1 The general requirements for testing and inspection of structural items are to be in accordance with the requirements of Vol 1, Pt 6, Ch 6, 7 Inspection and testing procedures and LR’s Naval Survey Guidance for Steel Ships.

7.1.2 Adequate facilities are to be provided to enable the Surveyor to carry out a satisfactory inspection and testing of all components during each stage of prefabrication and construction.
