Section 1 General

1.1 Introduction

1.1.1 This Chapter contains information regarding the derivation of global strength requirements that are to be used in conjunction with the global design loads calculated according to Vol 1, Pt 5, Ch 4 Global Design Loads.

1.2 Application

1.2.1 The requirements for longitudinal and transverse global strength are contained within this Chapter.

1.2.2 The requirements of this Chapter are to be applied in lieu of the corresponding requirements of the Complementary Rules.
