10.1.1 A written operation procedure is to be prepared and issued prior to the
riser system being put into operation. One operation procedure may, where
applicable, cover several riser systems of the same type.
10.1.2 Where a riser system forms part of a system covering other lines,
platforms, terminals, etc., the operating procedure is to embrace those parts of the
entire system which are relevant to the operation of the riser system.
10.1.3 In order to minimise the risk of damage to the riser system, it is the
Owner's/Operator's responsibility to ensure that supply boat approach routes to the
installation are strictly controlled. A mooring procedure is to be produced which
clearly indicates safe and hazardous anchoring areas.
10.1.4 Operation procedures are to be written in English with translations into
other languages, as necessary, for the operating personnel involved.
