The Maritime Safety Committee,

  1 The Maritime Safety Committee, at its sixty-ninth session (11 to 20 May 1998), adopted, in accordance with resolution A.717(17), a revised text of the Medical First Aid Guide for Use in Accidents Involving Dangerous Goods (MFAGfootnote), which had been approved by the Sub-Committee on Dangerous Goods, Solid Cargoes and Containers (DSC) at its third session (9 to 13 February 1998) and finalized by that Sub-Committee's Editorial and Technical Group as indicated in DSC 3/15/Add.2.

  2 Member Governments are invited to bring the revised text of the MFAGfootnote to the attention of all concerned to enable industry to become familiar with the new text in advance of its formal association with the reformatted IMDG Code (Amendment 30).

  3 For reasons of economy and in compliance with existing rules, the complete text of the revised MFAGfootnote, as given in document DSC 3/15/Add.2, has not been reproduced again.
